Looking for a general all purpose type spinning rod and reel that can be used to cast at inshore fish like reds and spots but that can also be used for slightly larger fish like blues and spanish mackerals. Nothing too expensive but i also don't want to have to replace them each year. (<$500)
Any recommendations?

Quantum Cabo 40/50 with a StCroix should do nice.

St.Croix AIS70HF: http://www.tackledirect.com/st-croix-ais70hf-avid-inshore-spinning-rods.html
That would go great together and be able to handle any fish like that.
Thanks! :tht_rulez:
