5 years ago we sold many Mustang MD3183 & MD3184 Hydrostatic life vests to many Hull Truth members and boaters who keep on the cutting edge of technology. You are now due for a new re-arming kit. Go to our website at www.lrse.com (http://www.lrse.com) or this link http://lrse.com/prod-Mustang_Hydrostatic_Inflatable_PFD_Rearm_Kit-763.aspx to receive $10 off your new re-arming kit.

How do you recycle the old cartridge?

Is it worth it to trigger the unit or will that damage the life vest?

Thank you for the reminder, I just purchased two additional vests about two weeks ago. My two older vests state to change in 2011 if the eye color changed ( forgot to what color)

At this stage I will change them both.

Thanks for the response.

If you have access to a pool it would be a good training exercise to activate the vest, this will help to know what to expect. Leave the vest inflated overnight for pressure test, it should still be fully inflated 24 hours later. The cartridges do have to be disposed of properly if the CO2 hasn't been discharged. Anyone with older vests that haven't been checked should know we inspect inflatable life jackets. You can call 1-800-451-2127 for details. Thanks for the post. Brian

Props to LRSE!

Quick on the phone.
Friendly.
Assured me that they had the latest kits in stock.

Avoid Amazon or Ebay when ordering because you may end up with a kit expiring in less than 5 years.

LRSE sent both kits expiring at the end of 2016
