Hi,

I'm from the caribean and interested in a good quality pre-owned (23-26ft CC) boat.
I just missed a deal on ebay (2006 edgewater 245CC F225 Yamaha $35.000) and didn't find any deal like this.
Everywhere this boat is for sale for over $50.000, and most of the time in less good condition.
Does it make sense for me to travel to the this boat show?
I know it's nice to see all the boats, but is it possible te make deals below marketprice like this one?
Or should I wait for another deal on Ebay?

Any ideas?

thank you

Jimmy, as far as I know, there will be few if any used boats at the Miami Boat Show. There will likely be some good deals on new boats, and it will be a great way to spend a day or two looking at both boats and related items. If nothing else, it lets you compare a lot of different boats in person and then you can narrow down a search for a used boat if new is out of the question. Once you have decided on a few boats to search for, south Florida is probably the best bet for finding one of those boats.

Hope that helps some.

I would use the BoatTrader online resource. This site allows you to see all the boats of similar make that are for sale, with photos. It is a better compare-price site when you know which boat you prefer.
The range of 23-26 foot center consoles is rich with choices ! If you tell us what you plan on doing with the boat you buy, you will get some great suggestions from the members.. Then start searching.. You may be able to come over and look at several boats before you purchase one..

I have just started using this craigslist serach engine and found it to my liking. You can fine tune it for price and terminology...

Go to the show, use it to narrow down your choices and then find the used one you want. The Florida boat trader mag is bigger at boat show time as people try and sell to those that come for the show, so you can look at used boats as well while you are here.
