Do you think they will come out with a tilted element 455/800kh transducer for this unit? I am really interested in getting a wide degree cone for fishing in <100ft of water.

If you need wide coverage you will be better off with a HDS-5 and a LSS-1 StructureScan unit than DSI. LSS-1 has SideScan in addition to DownScan.
