looked at the sea fox 257 today and the triton2486 center console boat. the two boats
are night and day. the triton is by far a better built boat. same power, single yamaha
4 stroke 225 on triton and sea fox had a merc. triton is 61,000 with trailer and sea fox
is in the mid 40 range with trailer, only ? is what do i do??

What's your budget?* I'd prefer the Triton over the SeaFox, although $61k sounds kinda steep for a 25' boat with a single OB.* You could get a 26' Sailfish with twin 150's for the low to mid $50's (twin 200's for around $60k).*

So, what are you asking here? Whether or not to go with one over the other? Or if you should spend 40 or 60k? :roll

Ok, I see. Let me just say this and maybe this will help ya out. Don't forget that you will invariably have a few electronics to add to the boat, safety equipment, anchors/chains/rodes, etc.. It all adds up VERY quickly and for instance my bay boat has over 2k in electronics and gear and again, that is just for a bay boat with a GPS, VHF, FF and Stereo.
Personally, I would opt for the lower cost boat and get better electronics. If I had an offshore boat, I would have a large screen GPS, nice FF, Stereo and with the extra money, I would get the largest HP motor and a T-Top. You can also get yourself some more rods and reels too!
I think you get the point.
Now would I rather have the Triton over the Sea Fox, you bet! But would I rather have a loaded Sea Fox with the latest bells and whistles over the Triton, that's a no-brainer too.. ;)

This will be a frist for me but Do not BUY the Triton !!!!!
if you compairing them you will never justify or apprecieate (sp) the quailty and superior craftsman ship the
Triton carries over the Sea Fox ...
Buy the Fox and enjoy...
