Technical Issues with THT website - Paypal ok, but need other online option

I'm trying to sign up for an admirals subscription, but see that paypal is the only way to do it. I haven't used paypal in years and am not particularly interested is the hassle of getting my account going again, credit card validation, and all that nonsense. It would really be nice if you guys could just take a credit card like everyone else on the planet. I'd love to subscribe and am happy to support the site, but I don't want to jump through hoops to do it.

True, but if paypal already knows about your email address or credit card number, it forces you to go do it through paypal.

Yes, I tried that. The issue is that if Paypal recognizes your email or credit card number (happens if you have an account, even a dormant one), then it forces you to login and pay via your paypal account. So Paypal customers, both past and present, DON'T have the option of paying via credit card without also giving it to/updating it with Paypal.

I sucked it up and updated my paypal account because I'll need it anyway to sell on Ebay. It's just unfortunate to HAVE to refresh my Paypal account to pay THT instead of just paying and being done with it.

Anyway this is a great site. I just hate to see an obstacle between people wanting to give money, and THT wanting to accept that money. Rule #1 of business - Don't make it hard to buy.

Within Pay Pay it'll ask you what funding source "pay-Pal balance, credit card etc...

I also up-graded membership through paypal, no changes yet, have a recipt for transaction so mabey it worked ?

PayPal works, but you are w/o options if you have an e-mail address or have ever been with them before. You must use paypal and they must validate your card. This costs THT $1.95 per.
