I have seen something (overtons maybe) that is a canvas extension for exactly what your asking about. Looked like it could be taken down or folded out of the way easily. I didn't want it so I don't remember where I saw it.

If you do a search, there was a thread on one awhile ago that looked pretty slick. He made it with a hard frame that retracted just under the rails of the existing t top, but could be extended and used up to 50 mph or something like that.

I am looking to build something like the T-Top extender.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6uoJjhmufQ&feature=related
I was looking at modifying the T Top extender to support an entire canvas to enclose the helm area and rear deck on my Mako walk around cuddy. That way I'd have a mini-cruiser that could become a liveable over nighter.
What do you see wrong with the T-Top Extender?

It just seems to me that one could build the Tee Top extender for pretty cheap. However the brackets to hold the Aluminum poles to the Tee Top are hard to find.
