Sea school-- 6-pack is about $300-$500 if I remember correctly.

sea school is $845 including the CPR/first aid class you are also now required to get a TWIC card before USCG will accept your application

If you just want a peice of paper dont bother, its not worth your time effort or money to get one unless you plan on going to sea for a career.

A grand should cover it for a oupv/6 pack. Drug test, physical, mmd, twic, cpr,first aid, copy of driving record, copy of criminal record, and the class.
