You’ve bought the best; now keep it looking that way with simple clean and care solutions. E-Sea Rider® Marine Bean Bags should be cleaned properly, as needed, to ensure absolute enjoyment every time.

General Wash Down

Hose off your E-Sea Rider Marine Bean Bag with fresh water, making sure to remove all salt and loose dirt. This helps prevent dirt and grime from becoming embedded in the vinyl and eliminates the need for more vigorous cleanings.
If water alone doesn’t do the trick, or if you’ve had an especially bloody day, try a mild grease cutting soap such as Dawn. You will want to avoid caustic harsh chemicals as they will eventually degrade the vinyl overtime.
Air dry after rinsing.

General/Light Cleaning

Brush off excess dirt.

Prepare a mild soap and water cleaning solution – do not use bleach or harsh detergents.Harsh chemicals like bleach will remove the wax coating on the thread and dry out the vinyl, we do not recommend you use bleach as an overall cleaner, Bleach should only be used to spot clean only for the most stubborn of stains

On heavier soil gently scrub solution soaked, soft bristle brush on the necessary areas making sure to scrub "with the grain". Use a terry cloth towel to lift loose dirt from vinyls surface. Allow mild soap and water solution to soak for a few minutes to breakdown grime, blood, and dirt. rinse off soap and scrub once again with water only, it is important to remove all soap residue.
Rinse thoroughly with fresh clean water.
Towel off all excess water and any remaining loose dirt
Allow to air dry.

If these steps are done properly the vinyl should have a dull sheen, meaning there is no residue or body oils.

Heavier Cleaning

E-Sea Rider Marine Grade Bean Bags do not mildew, however a heavier cleaning may be required if a bag has been improperly stored for long periods of time or after an intense day on the water. In that case, simply follow the instructions below.

Follow the same steps in General/Light Cleaning.
Retreat trouble areas with another mixture of mild soap and water this time using a dry terry cloth towel making sure to dry each individual section before the solution begins to dry. However, this time use a more firm bristle brush on offending areas.
Rinse with clear, clean water.
Allow to air dry.
Repeat if necessary.

Never use alcohol, solvents, magic eraser, or bleach based cleaners on your E-Sea Rider® Marine Bean Bag.

Things every boater should know, not just E-SeaRider owners.

. Certain suntan lotions can damage or discolor your boats vinyl especially those containing red dye. Some of the new aerosols are really bad about this.

. Insect repellents containing Deet will harm and react, melting, most plastic and vinyls found in your boat. ie: electronics, cupholders, seats, bean bags, even killing live bait in wells.

. Eraser pads are essentially wet sand paper, it does clean well but will rub away the clear protective coating on your boats vinyl. These protective coatings act as a barrier, blocking mold and mildew as well as UV rays.

. Bleach, it cleans really well but does remove essential oils and waxes. As easy as it cleans, it just paves the way for more dirt to stick, requiring you to clean much more often.

. Some boat batteries emit fumes, these fumes will react with items stored above them. Have you ever had something dry rot long before it should have. There is a good chance you may have stored it on top of your battery boxes.
