I picked this up on Craigslist. Anyone know what it might be? It's about 11 or 12 feet long, has fittings for a sailing rudder on the transom, a hole for a mast on the bow, and two slots for daggerboards that someone has glassed over.

I don't have any knowledge on it, but to me it looks like a whaler. What are your plans for it? Looks like it could be a pretty good little project.

I second the whaler idea also. Is "squall" the name on the whaler sailboat? I can't remember.

I would like to fix it up but it would be nice if I could find some photos of what it is supposed to look like, seating in particular has got me somewhat puzzled and I'd like to see what the sailing rig was. The gunwhales have a pretty gnarly repair done to them and I haven't gotten a good look at the bottom yet but so far doesn't look like anything that can't be fixed.
It's not a whaler but a Del Quay dory looks a lot more like a whaler than this boat. Googled Del Quay and didn't find anything remorely like this one.
Keep the ideas coming!

After removing many layers of paint I found a HIN. It's tough to read but it looks like it starts with "CDO" but it could possibly be "CPO" or "GDO" or "GPO".
CDO - C-Dory Maraine, Auburn WA
CPO - CAPE FEAR FLOTATION, Southport NC
GDO - CHESAPEAKE COMPOSITES INC, Hollywood MD
GPO - GLAS-PLY, Snohomish, WA
Google searches on all of the above didn't turn up anything that looks like mine.
Anybody?

I'm fairly familiar with what Glas-ply and C-Dory did and I don't believe either of them would be responsible for that, I'm not familiar with the other two. I bet you could build an interesting boat out of that but I can't imagine it ever being a good sailboat.
Boston Whalers sailboat was called a Harpoon, they did them in three sizes with the largest being just over 20 feet long... I towed one in yesterday that had been blown up on a rocky beach.

It is indeed a British built 11' Dell Quay
Here's a newer version:
