It paddles better than my Malibu Mini-X but the Mini is far more stable and, as you may know, stable is good.
I have my seat mounted 2" above the gunwale of my Mini which puts it 10-12" above the bottom of the seat well. I have no stability problems and I am light years more comfortable now.
BTW, I am knocking on 70 and fish several times per week. I've kayak fished for 5 years and have never flipped a yak yet except on purpose.

i got the redfish 14 and really cant complain i like it and its stable for me and i weigh about 215lbs

I've been kayaking before and i love to fish so im looking for a kayak that i can fish off. Theres a few heritage kayaks like the redfish 10 angler and the featherlite 9.5 angler. Any advise or better kayaks, or just any tips to help out a novice kayak angler. Thanks.
