Anyone know what the fastest speed is that a J-plug can be trolled at and not blow out or spin? Looking to use them in saltwater actually....

I used to pull them 4.5 for kings at Olcott.

they get pretty sketchy around 3.8.

wouldn't try anything over 3.5

3rd on the 3.5. Run one next to the boat and watch. Faster than that and they'll start barrel rolling from time to time on you. 4.5? Wow! spin Dr. Jr.? :o
