How has the fishing for bass and blues in the bay been recently near Billingsgate, the Fingers and up towards Race Point? I have heard that T&W has been good near the Fingers so I may start there. Is there anybody going out on Saturday? I would be happy to share intel on Ch 65 or 68. PM me if you would like.

Going out Sunday early. Love to hear how you do tho. I plan on trying your spreader bar I picked up. I know charlie is out there, I saw him and his friends jumping next to the boat, both Sunday and Tuesday PM. Of course, those were the days I had my bass gear on board. Lesson learned. ALWAYS bring at least one heavier setup. Although I did mark a bunch of fish, no hookups. Nothing marked on the edge of billingsgate. I had to go deeper.

Bass fishing was slow today. 2 bluefish lost boatside at the fingers on Tube and worm(marked a lot of bigger fish, but they were not hitting), one schoolie striper on N edge of Billingsgate, and a couple more schoolies wire line jigging off Herring Cove.

Put the boat in the water finally on Friday after being at the yard for over a month having the engine overhauled.
Just a couple hours of fishing but two 40+" bass caught trolling X-Raps. All within sight of Duxbury Lighthouse.
Man it felt good to be back on the water.

I fished the race, fingers, and Bgate all weekend. Bunker spoons, Umbrella Rigs and Bucktails. 3 blues. No bass. Lots of short bass caught by other boats in the area. The race was a ZOO Saturday

The race was a ZOO Saturday
Absolutely, and it wasn't even a commercial day.

Tried some Sunday early AM charlie chasing in the middle of the Bay, CC, Ledge and all in between. Trolled bars and daisy chains, etc.... Saw some jumping but no fish. THOUGHT I was marking some but they ended up being Dogs. Got one one a vertical jig. They were all at 30-40' with a few deeper marks (bigger) at 60+ which I THINK were tuna. Am I wrong?
In the afternoon, took the family through the Canal and fished a little on the way back off Scorton. Jigged some wire only to find the dogs again. Kids thought it was cool, but not Dad
OH well. Great day on the water. One of the advantages of a small boat, I was able to run the boat ALL day on 14 gallons of gas :)
