I did a search and could not find the answer so if this has already been discussed I apologize. I have a boat with Yamaha 250 4 strokes. The boat came from the factory with the square command link gauges. This spring when I launced the boat I noticed the trim indicator bars were different for the two engines even when they were both trimmed fully down. Not the end of the world but I like things to be right. I read on this forum about the levers that sense the trim as well as a cam on the part above the lever that can be defective. I found the levers to be working properly and no cams....then I was told the 250 HP Yamahas don't use that system. I finally called the dealer who I bought the boat from and he fixed the problem. He sent his mechanic to my marina and he apparently was able to get into a menu on the command link gauges that allowed him to adjust the trim indicators so they showed one bar on each engine when they were fully down. For that service I was charged $125...ouch! I read my command link literature that came with the boat and there is no information regarding how to get into all the possible electronic adjustments on those gauges. Can anyone tell me where I can get that information as I don't want to spend $125 each time I need them adjusted. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
