My dumb ass left my 8ft antenna up the other day after trailering the boat, and, i snapped it. The antenna that was in there was a digital 8ft antenna and the coax cable also says digital. Question is, do i need to replace with the same digital antenna? Or, can i just replace with another 8ft 6db antenna that is not digital? Thanks

Another person fooled by a clever product name! :roll

There is no such thing as a "digital" antenna. "Digital", in this case, is a brand name. You can replace your antenna with any quality marine VHF antenna. Shakespere, Digital, etc.

I have that antenna and like it VERY much.... also using it for AIS off the SH 2100-AIS VHF Radio. Just my 2 cents ...

That's what I put on my previous boat and it's a good antenna.

I don't know what's on my current boat but it's getting a little ratty looking. I'll probably swap it out pretty soon.
