Hope I'm in the right forum area! In the Norwich Ct area, any recommendations on who can best service a 1993 Johnson 120HP V4 outboard? I'm new to the boat scene and have no knowledge who to take this to for reliable service. Not looking to trash any place, just looking for a consensus if there is one.

The Outboard Exchange in Waterford, ask for Tim. I have used Atlantic as well, they are very good to deal with but Tim's a stones throw from the boat ramp. When you pick it up you can test it to make sure all is well. Tim has a good inventory of used parts that keeps the repair costs down on an older engine.

I'll also have to chk out Outboard Exchange. I keep all my boats in New London and was kinda looking for someplace local to go to if need be instead of driving a half hour plus down 95. Thx.

+1 for the Outboard Exchange. They used to have a do it yourself learning class on outboard motors. Their selection of used parts is great. Ask for their class if your interested in learning how to fix and repair outboard on your own.
