I will be in Hilton Head June 25-27. I'm taking my kayak and plan to launch from either the Cross Island ramp or the Haigh landing. I'll take some lures and some cut mullet and/or shrimp. I've kayak-fished Broad Creek and Pinckney once each. I usually paddle to what I think will be a good spot, then anchor for a while and give it a shot. Have a few questions:
1. Where can I get good frozen bait and what would you recommend?
2. Any tips at all? I like catching reds and specks but I'm not picky.
3. Any other launch spots you'd recommend? (I'm staying at Palmetto Dunes).
4. Any other kayak fishermen interested in going with me?
5. Do any of you have any experience doing a surf launch?
Just looking for ideas for a fun, productive trip.
