Is there something that I can do to keep my lower unit from getting banged up on the I-Beam when I drive on to my lift? Something to cushion it, but still let me know when I am fully on the lift?
Thanks.

There are bow stop & motor stops that can be purchased for free standing lifts, what style of lift do you have?

I guess you would call it a boat house lift.

There's nothing specifically made for a boat house style kit. What you can do is mock up what you see on a boat trailer. Mount on the front of your dock some sort of a guide that sticks out into the slip measured perfectly so when you drive into the lift it will stop the boat before the lower unit strikes the beam. I'm sorry but there's nothing designed for a boat house style lift. Is this a doable option?

Thanks for your help. I was thinking of taking a pool noodle (foam), cutting it halfway through length-wise and sticking it on the I-Beam, held down with some zip ties. I think this may protect the lower unit, and also let me pull in until the lower unit hits the noodle.
Any thoughts?

That would certainly work as well.
