I normally leave my riggers up full time and I just lay them down for trailering. I don't trailer much and I don't get to fish as much as I would like. The boat is used every weekend but might only get fished 2-3 a month. How many of you remove your outriggers when you arent fishing? I just don't want like to take the time to unbolt the pin and remove them because then I have to store the poles. Also, I am on an outside drystack on the top rack so nothing has to come down for the stack either. Do you guys take them off when not in use. I feel like the factory top is plenty strong to handle the stress but I am always curious to know how other do it.

I have 18' Tacos on my boat that is stored on a lift. When I had them single rigged, I would take them off if I wasn't going to be trolling that day, but since I have double rigged them it is too much of a PIA to collapse them and wind up all the cord so I have just been leaving mine up for the last year or so. Doesn't seem to be causing any problems yet....

Leave mine up full time when the boats not in use.The only time I lay them down is when I'm trailering to the beach and the only time they come off is for about 2 months in jan and feb. How many hours you got on that Regulator now?:)

The only reason I remove mine is: If I am not going to be trolling soon, I like to get the rigging of the riggers out of the sun. The bungies etc... will last alot longer that way. I am in no way concerned about the poles or gunnels or mounting structure havong any issuses. At this time I leave them on the boat as it is Sprigntime which is trolling season for me.
