I have a 2006 Parker CC that I typically keep docked in the harbor.
This year, I may end up trailering it since my schedule w/ work will likely dictate less time on the water for me, and paying docking fees with this arrangement seems to be foolish since I'll be out of town alot.

My boat's bottom was sanded down to the white primer coat and then cleaned and bottom paint was applied. I have done this process the past couple years. I use an ablative paint.

My question is this...

I painted the bottom a couple weeks ago. I have since decided I will likely be trailering. My concern is that the bottom paint will be coming off easily as I'll be pulling on and off the trailer. How concerned should I be about the anticipated exposed areas being subjected to saltwater? I've been pondering whether or not to strip all the bottom paint and just do the gel coat to bring it back to its original. I just don't want any future problems. The trailering arrangement may (or may not be) a long term thing...It depends on the work schedule.

Any ideas, comments, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I think the paint will be fine you won't be taking that much off during the launch/retrieval i have used ablative for years with no growth i just touch
it up every spring especially on a roller trailer

I have a trailer boat and the only experience I've had with this issue is the one time I put my friends bottom-painted boat on it just to clean the hull. That was several years ago and a little bottom paint is STILL on the bunks.

You don't mention if you've got bunks or rollers on your trailer, but I can tell you his bottom paint came off easily on my bunks. I'm not sure what kind of bottom paint he had.

Check the product you applied. Some paints lose effectiveness when not continuously submerged ...
