Guys,

I wanted to post about one of the best tournaments I've ever fished in. The Pirates Cove Tuna Round-Up is coming up June 4-5. It's a blast and worth the trip if you like yellowfin and mahi.
Most guys will put 6 men on a charter boat and the costs are less than most of the tourney's I've fished. With a house rental (Tues-Sun) and a pre-fish day (3 days on the charter) it cost about $2500 per man. This includes being in ALL categories and Calcutta's. They also have an outboard division. Check-out, "fish pirates cove" on google and the link is there.

We each brought home 2 coolers of fish for our families and friends,( we didn't try to over fish, but it's our only time to catch tuna) and none ever goes to waste. Take care, hope to meet some THT'ers at the Tiki-bar.

Triton,

The "rednecks from Ohio" will have 4 or 5 boats this year. My team will be on the Bi-Op-Sea out of PC.
I will hope to be fishing out of my Onslow Bay next year,,,,(gotta get the right team if your gonna do it on your own) Hope to see you there.

I remember you guys. One of our teams won it in 07 or 08 and we finished 2nd and 3rd last year. Did you see our post of the "Revenge of Momma Mako" last year the blood and guts board?? We would of had you guys last year but a 10' plus Mako chomped on our biggest fish....Fish was still 52# with about 15-16" missing (anal fin to the tail was gone) We called it "revenge" because we harvested a small mako on the prefish day (mate made the call). Hope to have a beer with you guys in June.
