looks very good. is the board just slipped over the top of the rear wall of the bed? Or is it held in with some kind of fastener?

Attached to tool box with 2 carraige bolts with wing nuts. Weighs about 20 lbs and takes 2 minutes to put in or take off. Cost about $25.

Your in NJ. Go see Norm at Norms Welding in Lanoka Harbor. Why mess with wood.

Norm built mine custom and it did not cost much.

Just slips over and i used a small ratchet strap to secure it.

Cannot remember what it cost but was not bad, and even 7' rods never had an issue with low overhangs.
