Gulf Coast - Taking a trip to key west

bringing the avets w me ...anyone got any advice on where to go?...any advice any charters down there, leaving mbile march 10th and staying down there a few dails...want to try to get my first sailfish while im there , anyone help me out here? ;?

This time of year the sailfish are usually pushed into the reef line. I would just get out on the edge and look for decent water, bait showers, or frigate birds.

My plans are to head down that way on the 6th and fish thru the 10th if I can get away from work. Hell,they have me stuck in Va right now and its been one cold ass week! Are you going to be down and ready to fish on the 10th? If so,I will be with someone just north of Miami. My wife and I are planning to fish 3-4 days just targeting sailfish on lite tackle per weather. You don't need to bring anything per the Charter Captain other then drinks and food.

yea im leaving mobile al on the 10th.....gonna be in key west the 11th thru the 18th or 19th

Check here,I was asking around too! I will be flying out on the 12th. Will be heading down to the keys for a day or two just to find some warm weather.

let me know how it goes...im bringing my laptop down there with me, ill be looking for a boat as of march 12th....prob not gonna charter anything b/c of costs...know a few ppl down there that will take us for fuel costs...looking foward to showing them how its done....hopefully
