Went down to Venice with great expectations earlier this week. Great forcast for Thurs and Fri. Did not happen. Wind and waves predicted to lie down Thurs never did. Water was COLD. Highest water temp we saw was 64 degrees 65 miles South of the South Pass. Needless to say, we did not catch any tuna or Wahoo, only a couple of Barry Cudas! Will try again in June or July, if and only if the Blue water is within 100 miles of Venice.

Sorry to hear that my man. But that's fishing.
The waves did lay down late Thurs and into the night. Fri morning it picked back up a little but was better than Thurs.
We got similar fishing reports from our buddies but went anyway.
Just to be clear, there is a whoo in your signature line . . . that is not from this trip?
Good luck to you next time, fishing is fishing.

was from November. It went 71. got one the day before that was 84 lbs. We also caught 4 more in the fifty bl range and a couple of blackfins. The YFT is still an enigma to me.
