Big Game Room:
First part of my visit to the show. Lots of clothing there and a good bit of tackle. To name a few Old Harbor Outfitters, Stalker Outfitters, Pelagic, Daiwa, Bluewater Shirt Club, Billfish Foundation, World Billfish Tour, and various custom offshore tackle companies were in there. I didn’t think that there were many great deals if anything. There was one guy there giving bait rigging seminars and I thought he was very good. There were no charter companies, other reel companies, rod companies, and some of the larger tackle companies (Capt. Harry, Melton, and Finest kind) were in different areas of the show. They did have a drawing in the Big Game room and at 7:30 that night I got a call that I won a Daiwa STTLD50-2 Speed Reel.
Boat Show Vendors:
After the Big Game Room I went to the vendor area and found a lot of marine related products such as outriggers, t-tops, rod holders, chairs, and all the engine manufactures, insurance, magazines and all that good stuff.

Boats on Display:
I was told and it seemed that the show was a lot smaller then previous years. Our great economy was the probable cause to that. Usually Sea Vee, Contender, Invincible, Venture, Jupiter, and some other manufactures are always outside. Well this year they were in the convention center.
Sea Vee really impressed me. The 32 felt huge. I think the owner of the boat was there with the salesman and the owner took me through everything on his boat for about an hour and a half. The boat had 2 100 gallon live wells and then another 60 gallon. Twin 300's and the boat could top out about 52 mph with a mild load. They had all the other sizes but I didn’t spend much time on them.

Invincible was another I spent some time on. Mainly just snapped some pictures and looked around. The 33 seems to be a nice boat and has a good balance of size and space. Everything on an invincible seems to be in a good logical position.

Contender had the 36, 33, 31, 25, and the 23. Good looking boats and very clean lines. There was a 25 outside with a 350 on it up for raffle. $25 per ticket. Heard that there were a bunch of guys walking around with shirts saying "Reasons Why Not To Buy A Contender"

Collins Ave. Show:
This is where all the mega yachts and big sportfishermans were. Got to see Davis, Viecm, Cabo, Viking and Hatteras. Plenty to see there and could have spent the whole day there. Got on some of the boats, took my pictures, and then talked to the rep. for the boat. Nice and eager to talk to a 16 year old about boats and the builder in general.
