Marine Electronics Forum - Remote spotlights,how did you wire and do you have pics?

I was looking to mount one on the bow rail of a 1987 searay sundancer 268.
First off for you guys who mount on the bow rail,is there mounts made for this or do you hand make and how do you run the wiring so it wont be seen?
Im looking for a light still,on my old boat I had a golight. I loved the golight bright,moved well,easy installation,and zero problems,But I dont think its boxy design will look good on the bow rail,But I dont know anyone got one on there vessel,what ya think? got pics to share?
The jabsco ray line lights I think would look the best but they cost a fortune any suggestion on any others.
Any pics of lights or wiring you done and have on hand please share so I can have a idea,Thanks.

Golight makes a rail mount wireless light. The beauty of the Golights is all you need to do is get a +/-12v to it, no other wires.

I have a WC 266SC that has a remote spotlight on the top of the bow rail. It's mounted on a SS plate that bolted to the rail and the wire runs in through the rail and under the bow to a remote transmitter. Theres 3 wires gnd, pos. and remote, the transmitter has a small antenna to pick up the signal from the remote control unit. It's easy to wire. I will take some pic's and try to post tomorrow.

So when you say it is ran through the bow rail,you mean inside correct? Then do you drill a hole in the fiberglass at the base of where the bow rail is secured to the boat and feed it in through there?

Im looking to mount right on top of the bow rail,I would just mount up on the bow deck but Im thinking im going to get a windlass at some point and then the light would be in the way,so im looking to mount on the rail it's self.
If there is some kind of bow rail mount for a golight,please link it,I couldnt find one?
