Pastaman, there is no winch - boat has a latch on it that will grab the loop on the trailer as you drive the boat and then lock. Very quick and easy retrieve. Thanks for the compliments, boat is a great all around boat but looking to move as I bought a bigger boat and would like to get into a flats boat.

What happens on a steep ramp?

Steep ramps have never been a problem. I've put in ramps that are a lot less than desireable up and down the Keyes with never any problems. Actually shallow, gradual sloping ramps are tougher, as you have to back so far in to get the boat floating. Great trailers, though.

Thanks..........i was just curious. I have never seen that before. That wouldnt bother me as i drive mine all the way up the trailer anyway.

Good luck selling her!

Years ago, thats the way most float-ons were if I remember correctly. I have seen people load with these and it appears to be very easy, drive it on, hear the click and shut the motor off.
