Anyone use them? They seem to be one of the few made here in the states..looking for two smaller, odd sized radials (ST185/80R13-C). Currently have load stars bias ply and they are wearing funny--even after balancing and checking axle alignment.

I believe Maxxus makes that size. They have a great reputation.

Called titan and they are made overseas, as are the Maxxis (aka Cheng Shin rubber company).

I don't think any of the smaller trailer tires are made in the US.

I believe the Carlisle Bias ply (USA Trail) tires are still made in the US. The ones I bought 2-3 years ago were. Carlisle makes a Radial Trail in that size (P/N:5193521). No idea where those are made.

How have your carlisles held up? To be honest, I'm a bit skiddish of them due to everything I have read on here about them.

The little made in USA bias ply ones have been fine. I have no experience with the larger or radial ones. Most of the complaints I have read about Carlisles are about the larger radials from their China factory.

I was not happy with Carlisle bias ply tires. They didn't wear evenly. In less than 5000 miles they were worn out. If you are hung up on USA tires, I think Goodyear is now making Marathons in the U.S.

I replaced the Carlisles with Maxxus and they have been great tires.

I wish all the stuff I need was made in the states by U.S. citizens...the problem is our elected greed-mongers have non of our best interests in mind and construct laws and regulations that make it near impossible. When we can vote the status quo out and put our priorities back in place instead of the lobbyists and other special interests, we can return to supporting our beloved country...vote out every incumbent you can from dog-catcher to president every chance you get...disregard party politics and vote evry chance you get...til we can turn things around, get the most for your money...right now I agree w/the thread about Maxxis tires...I like mine and they are the same size you mention you need...

Your tire dealer and the guy who installs your tires are probably still American, so it's not like ALL your dollars are going overseas...

Wow. Not sure how this turned into a political thread--I've just heard so much bad about Chinese made tires seems like it makes sense to not buy any.

I have had good luck with Signet tires. They are made in South Korea. The tough part is finding them. Another tire that has been recommended are Denmans (made in china).

Found a local guy that will be installing Sigma Tow Max radials today. I checked some RV forums, and they seem happy with them. We'll see I guess.

Seems like a crap shoot with trailer tires.

Carsiles are junk! get you some Denman Radials, and you will be worry free.

Denman's are all the rage by for the camping people and I have had good luck with them on my boat trailer.

The carlisle radials are a better tire than their bias plys.
