I went to the Virginia Beach boat show this afternoon. The biggest surprise I saw was a new C-Hawk skiff. I had thought that C-Hawk had gone out of business. The sales representative told me that the company has reopened under new management.
While the boat show offered an opportunity to see some large high-dollar boats, the ones I was most impressed with were from Sea Hunt and Trophy. I know that comment will draw snickers, but I thought the boats from those two companies offer great value and have a lot of clever design features.

Yeah I think Sea Hunt has come a long way in the last few years, I'm not surprised to hear you say that. They're nice.

It's funny you say that, i just got back from the Ocean City, Md show, and the new Trophy 2203 CC was one of the boats i liked the best (in the mid-size range). I loved the layout of it, very well designed for a 22 footer. Their boats look to be pretty well constructed, and i've heard nothing but positive remarks from their owners. I would buy one.
I really wanted to see Sea Hunt's 245 WA, but noone had one there.

Spent several hours there yesterday afternoon. Overall we were a little disappointed in the selection. I suspect it is a result of the economy. That custom built Harrison was one nice boat though.
