Am going to be installing a boat lift for my 28 Grady..I's between a Davit Master and a IMM. Would like to hear anyone feedback about these two brands, or for that matter any other good brands out there. I am on Long Island and the lift will be going on 4 Poles.

thanks
Peter

I have had a IMM boat lift, which my 31 Contender now sits upon, for over 10 years. It has been flawless. The GE motor still works perfectly. I changed out the wooden bunks to aluminum bunks a couple years ago. I changed cables for safety. But in general, this lift has been used often and has been flawless with four posts and two motors.

I have a Davit Master that has worked great for four years now. I bought a ''demo'' model from them and saved about $2500.

I have an IMM lift. Go to their web site and compare the different lift motors, and other options. I am sure that Davit Master will also give you an excellent lift. There are many ways to go, and all will work. Some are more expensive and will last longer.

I have a Golden that has been great. My buddy had an IMM and went through 4 motors in ten years. He just bought a Davit Master with a Myco cradle. Buy the best and all convenience options that you can afford such as cable keepers, alum bunks, tide tamers, etc. Get more lift poundage than you currently need b/c you may want TO GET A LARGER BOAT someday.

There are a lot of local dealers who make up their own. Post where you are and you will get a better answer.

I second the Golden lift. Mine has been flawless as well for over 5 years
