Having accumulated more than a few marine/boat parts for several of personal boat projects and not used them for one reason or other I'd like to sell some them. THT seems to one of the better places to post an ad to and have a few questions for clarification the forum guidelines.

Is there and what is the difference between the Admirals and Captains Clubs?

I often see ads for multiple item listed together does this require paying the Commercial Advertising?

Admirals Club member is said to limited to one ad per month, again if placing more than one ad but less than saying 5 or less ads for awhile do I need to pay for the Commercial?

Asking these question since many of us who don't fit the retailer/wholesaler description are probably in similar situations these days and need/want to sell more than one item per month. The additional $135 per year may be a good investment but would like to know if it's necessary for non-commercial members. Thanks.

There are a few differences, such as the ability to post videos as an Admiral's Club member and a couple of other bells & whistles. The biggest difference is that Captain's Club memberships are no longer available. The name of the premium membership changed when the ownership of the site changed, but Captain's Club members retained their membership levels.

Not if you are a private seller who is not stocking/producing/selling for profit

I would suggest running one ad at a time with multiple items listed in the ad at any given time. Running more than one ad at a time doesn't get looked at very hard unless it gets out of hand or people start complaining.

I would basically go with the rule of thumb that if you are selling of personal possessions, and not items that are purchased to be sold, you would not be considered commercial.
