10 losses in a row...and they play the habs in montreal tomorrow...

imo..they need to put Millbury back behind the bench and go back to there old style of hockey.. need i say more.. O'reilly, Jonathan, wensink, miller, (no Mcsorely's) and just fight there way to wins..even if they have a losing season at least it will be fun watching them brawl..

for crist sakes, they have not won a game since Fenway park.

any thoughts on there latest performance ?

I agree semperfi. It is almost like they have been told to throw the rest of the season to get a good draft pick for being last. The defense make "Bantam" level mistakes and being professional hockey players, you would think that they could hit the net once in a while from the point. Luongo did play one fine game though.

The best thing that could happen is for Jeremy Jacobs to sell the team. I gave up on them about 10 years ago. Pre-salary cap era, I figured if JJ didn't care whether they won or lost, why should I? I'll be back when he sells.

Since the "Strike / Lockout" season I have lost all interest in the Bruins and pro hockey, life long hockey fan and I really do not like the way the game is played anymore. Complete lack of checking and passion in the game, ice follies with sticks, college game is much more entertaining

amazing they actually won. I went to the game on saturday...not a bad first period but doesn't matter when they play horrible the rest of the game. I agree that they are not aggressive enough and aren't hitting hard enough. Also usually pretty pathetic watching them in a shootout. ...at least manning went home crying tonight

Seems the Kessel trade has had a lasting impact on their offense (especially with all the injuries). I know this kid was high maintenance, but man :bashhh:

This team has a history of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Good news is that with a reasonable stretch run they can still make the playoffs. Lets just hope that Ottawa and Buffalo play Washington every other game!

I wonder if Tim Thomas will get a chance to play in the Olympics? It seems as though Tuukka rask has responded well to the extra play time and I think they should ride him as long as possible. The defense is still making Bantam level mistakes in fron of rask though.

WHITEY1736

If Thomas gets in the net I'm not thinking he'll get much ice time. As you mentioned he's not even getting a ton of time right now on his own team.

what a bunch of gutless pansies.Cooke shouldnt have been allowed to play a minute in this game . Somebody should have been waiting for the door to open out of penalty box to get him each time he stepped out.Team has no heart and no honor.Coach has got to take some blame as well.As a matter of fact ,fire him ! Just a horrible display of a team that should have been motivated to the fullest for this game.I am embarrassed to be a life long Bruins fan !

Mike Millbury's comments were priceless. he basically called the Bruins pussys. He also made a comment about Chara probably being tired of some of the shmows he plays with. Millbury should be behind the bench.

I went to the game last night. Best part was the tribute to the '69/'70 Stanley cup team.

The B's didn't even look like they had desire to play. Also, it looks like a pick-up game out there. There doesn't seem to be any set plays or adjustments, just slapping the puck around. I'm affraid Claude Julian may be looking for a new job.

It was really sad. If the management think they can put that kind of "product" out on the ice and have folks pay good money to go a game, they're crazy. fans were streaming out of the Garden 1/2 way through the 3rd period.

What a gutless, shameful performance for all involved.

Chirelli - spineless - he had an opportunity with 4 players down with the flu to bring up 2 of the best fighters in the AHL from Providence. They could have taken care of business and who the hell would have cared if Colin Cambell suspended them. Instead, he brings up 2 "system" guys that suck, and could've skated around with a carton of eggs and not broken one.

Julien - whiney French Canadien wussbag. No wonder a real GM like lou Lamarillo fired his ass before the playoffs a few years ago. He couldn't get a football team full of convicts fired up to play the guards.

Savard should demand a trade once he heals - he deserves better than this.

They guys don't deserve to wear the sweater.

And I hope someone on that team fishes (probably a flyfisherguy) and reads this.

That 2nd period sure was great to watch. Thats how they need to play to make a legitimate push in the playoffs. I really thought we were gonna go to OT. I was as encouraged as you can be from a loss I guess, but they can't beat a team like New Jersey or Pittsburgh in a series.

Lets hope it does not get that far. After being up 3-0, if we allow them to tie the series back up and take it to 7, its a coin flip as to who wins. After last season's crappy ending, I dont want it to go to a final game.

Hey CMP we finally agree on something. How bout them Flyers!!!

No matter the outcome on Friday the Bruins are chokers. It takes a complete "lay down" to allow a team to come back from 0-3. The coach should be shown the gate along with a couple of lazy players.

I do have a comment on the Boston offense. Look at the number of blocked shots by the flyers. The Boston offense is there they just can't get a puck to the net. That is the difference between a team who wants to go on compared to a team who is afraid of taking a puck in the face. The Bruins are pussies plan and simple.

The Flyers even got here with a patched up line and a couple of guys called up from the minors.

Pretty much sums up how I feel too. When they got up 3-0 I never would have thought they could find a way to blow it. This is terrible. Philly did a great job getting back in this one, but it really hurts to be losing like this to a team like that. No way should we have lost 4 straight to a team with two career backups in net. Sickening.

The only thing that makes it a little easier to swallow is that there was no way they were going to be able to win the cup with this team. But it sure would have been nice to get to the conference finals for the first time in almost 2 decades.

While I dont even want to think about this team for a few months, will be looking forward to next season by the end of summer. Hopefully they can come back healthy, with some new firepower, and a few lessons learned.

I just hope they don't beat the Canadians in four like the Devils and go flat.
