I am sure we all remember the 5 great whites tags off the cape this year, I heard one of the tags popped off and they got the data and the shark went down to Florida, Does anyone have a link to this story or know when the other tags are suppose to pop off?

This story was in a Cape Cod Times article about 2 weeks ago. I sent the link to a friend in Florida but can't seem to find it now.

Someone ought to email Greg and ask when the tag data will be posted! These beasts were coming in as far as Aunt Lydia's cove as well :). More sharks=less seals=more bass and blues! Long live whitey! And yeah I do surf the Cape, just more north than Orleans...gulp. Or chomp. Hopefully a couple more tags pop think they are due its been about 6 months? Ya know the locals been saying this for years, that big sharks been killing seals off Monomoy. And a charter boat had a likely landlord encounter couple years back where shark took a striper off the hook and bumped the boat. Did ya read the story off the diver recovering equipment(camera?) from the tagging where the spotter plane saw a white about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away...second the diver hit the water the shark bee-lines at the boat/diver at speed from a slow cruise. Pilot radios down, get that diver outta the water! The other great story is the dad taking pics of son surfing at nauset, sees shark breach in background hitting a seal :). They been there for years, and not hit a person yet, prob plenty of chances, they really want a seal cuz they be fatty ba-latty snacks. Course surfers lying on boards look like seals...

Take a look at the pics, they are in very shallow water as well :).

I heard from a friend that knows one of the pilots that said there where quite a few more whites sighted than they let on. Like five times more.

Mostly longboarders surfing the backside, mighty whities don't like longboarders!
