new hds 10 unit
getting interference from some source( blue rain all over screen) can still see the bottom and detail, just blue rain in water column)
not motor as the intereference stays when motor is off
i am told it is because i am using an old extension cable between the transducer and the unit- this extension i had from a pre -broadband lowrance unit

does anyone think this is possibly the problem, or are they trying to sell me a new cable
it works tfine at 50khz just 200 khz i get interference
is there a new generation of broadband cables around?
would have bought the cable to see if it, is but there is none in stock in Australia!!!!!!!!!!!!
is there any dealer in the US that will post to Australia?
tahnx

I can't imagine its the cable. There is no such thing as a broadband cable. Do you have the right transducer selected in the setup options?

i see on your webstore the following part

Part #: 99-93
"XT-12BL

12' transducer extension cable.

Works with: LCX-110C, LCX-111C HD, LCX-17M, LCX-20C, LCX-25C, LCX-26C HD, LMS-332C, LMS-334C iGPS, LMS-337C DF, LMS-339C DF iGPS, LMS-480, X102C, X107C DF, X125, X126DF, X135, X136DF, X52, X59DF

It works with HDS. This is th epart you would use for this application. But once you see it you'll wonder how it could ever go bad. Its just a cable.
