Hi, I'm new to this site. I was given a 1993 21 ft Dixie boat for christmas by my wife's family. It was a family boat, and seems to be in good condition. Can anyone tell me anything about these boats? Is it a good builder? I'm very excited about it, and I'd appreciate any and all information I can get. Thanks!

Is it a walkaround or bow rider? They were entry level boats with a good ride. I fished my frieds walkaround and it was a great ride and very economical with a straight six cylinder Chevy Merc inboard/outboard.

It is a walkaround. It has seating at the very front too. It also has a cabin.

Here are a couple pictures of the boat. They are of my wife as a kid, but the boat looks exactly the same, it was so well cared for. It has a 150hp mercury.

Congratulations on your new ride. Now to enjoy it with your wife as an adult, the memories continue to build.
Here is a 1991 for sale. Maybe the seller will be nice enough to tell you something about them. They are close in years.;?

No problem.:thumbsup:
If it floats, runs and can get you and your family back to the dock safely at the end of a day on the water, that's all you need to have fun.

NICE looking boat - especially if it's still in that kind of shape! :thumbsup:
Enjoy! ;cool;

I had one from 1987 until 1990. Many great days on that boat. Only issue was a small fuel tank. I think it was 50 gallons. Hope you enjoy it. Looks like it was well cared for.

A friend of mine had one and even fished offshore NC with it fron time to time. I believe they were built in NC or SC. There are still a lot of them in that neck of the woods. Nice layout for family fishing/cruising. Check as they may not be self-bailing.
