Does anyone have an idea of where the boats out of the Virginia Beach fishing center caught their stripers this past saturday? The report on their website said right off the ocean, but I find it hard to believe that there could be so many boats out eeling around Fisherman's Island at the mouth of the bay and nobody heard of this hot bite and made the run around Cape Henry. They had a great catch of fish, just trying to figure out if they were off the beachfront or up the coast of the eastern shore.

Going to try trolling this morning out of Rudee. From the reports I heard they are scattered but Everyone knows where they are we just can't go out there and get them. There 7 to 10 miles out. Water temp needs to come down some. Noaa has it here at 61.

Can anyone recommend a half-day charter trolling stripers out of Rudee the morning of 1/18? Driving back to NJ from a weekend of bluefin fishing out of Morehead and would like to get a striper trip in on the way back up- Thanks!

Will do. Watching these guys reports but hoping to do the two day camping/fishing thing saterday and sunday @ Rudee. Called OI today and one boat went out after stripers but I didn't get a brake to call back. Will post tomorrow what they found. Watch these reports. If these boys say brake right, Brake right. LOL Give me a buzz when you get there. Need a little help for a day give me a call.

Went out Sunday in the ocean and the water is still a little dirty. We fished for about 5 hours catching one throw back which was under size. Did not see anyone catching much but we did mark a ton of bait fish which is a good sign. If this next rain does not make thing worse the stripers should start hitting again.

The fishing has been way off this year. The bay season ends in 3 days and it has been very very slow. Hopefully January will be epic off the beachfront but who knows. I haven't heard of a report of a beehive of birds the whole season except once.
