I am going to Ocean City, MD this weekend and I need some fishing advice. I am not taking the boat, but I would like to try my hand at fishing from the shore at or near the inlet. Any pointers? Where is a good place to go after some decent Stripers? What tackle would you recommend? I have fished OC many times, but have always been in a boat. I was thinking about casting from the jetty and possibly the beach. I have read some fishing reports, but I would really love to have some first hand reports. What about tides? Incoming or outgoing? Thanks in advance for any pointers you can offer.

Look at a head boat or a walk-on charter for tog right now. You might be able to snag a rock off the Rt50 bridge but a boat would be monumentally better.

I hadn't thought about a headboat. Great idea! Thanks for the information. I was thinking about the Route 50 bridge too. I will hit up a couple of the marinas\tackle shops while I am there to see what the bite loooks like. I have 4 days to fish. I ought to be able to catch something in that time.
