Sorry if this has always been present and it just pierced my extra thick cranial cavity, but I just noticed the reputation icon on the lower corner of all posts.

I had the same question.... Hope it is not one of these anonymous where people give you medals or blames (I know it very well here in my environment).

Is this a solution in search of a problem, or a problem that now needs a solution?

If bad information is provided on-line then it will be challenged. Even good information is challenged. Nobody gets a pass.

If I were to recommend using a torch to loosen stuck carburetor nuts, then there would be at least one correction with the same time stamp as my post.

Maybe this is new reputation system good for the oblivious, who can’t tell the good from the bad. Or maybe an edict has just been implemented that empowers trolls to wreck havoc and run amok.

Its not found now in the forum but its too easy to be used, also very useful option for forums that shows how much reputation each member has.
by one click on the icon, you can select either a negative or positive feedback, then add your comment and submit it.
