I don't see any used Hobie Outfitter kayaks on the market. I have checked several forums and websites in the last few months and I can't find any. Are they so popular that nobody wants to sell or are they so unpopular that nobody has one? Thanks.

I looked for about 3 months and gave up. I purchased a new Revolution and a new Outfitter. They are fun.

Beachbum43, I used a friends Outfitter and it was a blast, that's what convinced me to get one. Anyone else have any input?

I don't think you will be disappointed with a Hobie. My dog and I took the Outfitter for a spin on Saturday. Now if I could only get her to use the pedals.

I have two Hobie Outbacks my wife and I use, set up with color sounders, GPS, livewell and am very happy with their ease of handling and stability. They are well made, have plenty of storage and the pedal system is great for quietly sneaking up on snook and trout in the Indian River lagoon system.

Well, it's been a while since I checked this thread, over a year! I finally found a used Hobie Outfitter on craigslist about a month after my last post. It was in Atlanta and the owner was getting into whitewater kayaking, lucky for me. It is a 2006 model and in good condition. It has been a blast and a good compliment to the Grady. I found a sail kit in Jensen Beach on craigslist while down there and I upgraded to the larger rudder, big difference.

I really enjoy the mirage drive because I use the yak for mostly fishing and it allows for hands free operation. I use it with my wife or solo. I have to weight down the front with a 5 gal. bucket of water when I'm by myself but it still works OK. I will be heading down to the Ft. Pierce area in couple of days and am looking forward to some great yaking. See ya'll out there.
