taking a boat ride from destin to pensacola one day this week, what is a good restaurant to go by boat and have lunch at ?

Google up Joe Patti's. Easy to get to. It's home to several fishing boats, has a giant seafood market open to the public. Has ready-made sushi, shrimp, etc along with hot french bread and all the exotic fixings you could want.
This isn't the fancy restaurant with white table clothes (or even tables, for that matter) but its home to the best food. There's a restaurant across the street from Joe Patti's that you can gorge in if you want a sit-down.
Plenty of room to tie up at their dock, too.

X2 on the Oar House. Much better than Joe Pattis IMO and better docking amenities as well.

Cuzmondo or Bluffman, where is The Oar House on Pensacola Bay? Am I right in assuming it is the same family or owners that had one for years on Canel Rd. in Orange Beach and also one at the marina at Fort Morgan. The food was great and I hated to see them go.

Follow these pictures. It is in Bayou Chico. Enter the bayou and it's on your right a little bit inside the mouth of the bayou. You'll see the Tiki Hut right past Bahia Mar Marina on the right.

There was a fire, but it's been rebuilt bigger, better and nicer than before.

You can also hit a wide variety of restaurants and bars (in one area) like Hooters, Hemingways, FunBurger, Bamboo Willie's, etc. on the sound / bay side of Pensacola Beach with nice docking facilities.

Juana's at the Navarre Bridge, and Flounder's at Pensacola Beach. Flounder's is one of my favorites and is just on the south shore of the ICW just east of the

Yeah, just stop at Pensacola beach if you are coming from Destin. I would go to Flounders.

3 on the oar house and the fuel dock is right there also.
