Sea Fox 195 Bayfisher with a Merc 125 SW, Bob's J-Plate and Permatrim..

Hull draft - 8"

At Rest -

Hull with motor tilted up and J-Plate all the way up - 8 inches
Motor down and J-Plate up - 10"
Motor Down and J-Plate down - 12 inches

While on plane -

Motor tucked up and Jack plate up running WOT - about 8 inches (maybe a little less)
Motor in normal position and Jack plate around #3 - about 12 inches
Comfortable running - ~15 inches.

To get out of the hole I need at least 16 inches.

Chris

24' Cruiser - draws about 30". Just a few inches more than what is left when we anchor and the tide goes out. The wheel isn't supposed to turn on its own, right?

23' John Allmand Ticonderoga (an oldie but goodie). Original I/O (Merc w/ Ford V-8).

Drive / tabs up: 1'7" (my trim tabs can dip down below the centerline of the transom on the inner corners quite easily)

Drive down: 2' 11"

Measured in fresh water (at the lake) with two tanks of fuel, but no tackle, ice or passengers inside.

What can I say? I was very curious!
