We run a Carolina-built 41' Express. The boat has a soft ride but the trips to the canyons in the Northeast are 50 to 100 miles each way and people like to be comfortable.

We could use two more seats on the boat while running hard but the only place to put them would be in the forward end of the cockpit facing aft between the rigging center and the fighting chair.

I presume that your customers store these units anywhere they can while fishing and we have a tower where we can tie them up. I also presume that you can sew loops or some other fastener on the unit?

Our charter customers run the whole spectrum. Children to guys 6' 4" and up to 300 pounds. What model do you suggest? How much does this unit weigh? What material is on the bottom of the unit to keep it from sliding? Most of your online pictures show the units facing forward not aft and our cockpit deck slopes aft at about a ten degree cruise speed.

Not the manufacturer but having owned several of the various types, I would think the Medium TearDrop Longnecks would work well for you. I've got 9'6 in my seating area. If I had more room, I'd get the Large, but a 6'4 300lb guy will fit in the Medium. They are extremely light. I would guess less than 10 lbs.

Yes, they have straps and it doesn't matter if you vessel slopes aft. It's a bean bag. You can manipulate the seating angle by wiggling your butt and back until it feels right.

Good Luck

I would also agree the MTL is the way go. It will not tuck into or store as well into the corner of the cockpit but it will accomodate someone larger than the Medium Armchair. I would recommend the Medium Teardrop Longneck first, Medium Armchair second. Please call 1-888-335-3732 if you have any other questions.
