they have come a long way from the Skiff type design in the early 80's I really liked their design back then. They kept it in the affordable class back then and the boat still ran good

I think Cobia is one of the best family boats. In its price range it rides better, holds up better, and has a better layout than its competitors. I have ridden on almost all of their models. I like the 256 a lot. It isn't as good as the top brands, but it is a top mid-tier brand. I think it is a perfect boat for a family fisherman. We have been in big conditions and it handled well. Don't expect it to outperform a Contender or Yf, but it will get you to the spot.

we own the 254 cc and its a great boat, it has twin 115s but we top out at 40. I personally think they are small cause with scuba gear and everything it takes awhile to get on a plane

Nice to see Cobia keeping up, those seats look like they stole them from someone's offshore racer...I had the pleasure of selling them for a bit during the first year the team from Hewes took over Cobia:thumbsup, great people building those boats...lots of quality and caring
