Just purchased one today. Salesperson has one and he straps the console down to the board. Say's it helps stability. The trolling motor is set to go straight. He stears with the paddle.

I tried mine out in the pool. Seems a bit unstable. Hopefully it will be more stable in 4 to 5" of water.

I chose it because my boat doesn't go shallow enough to chase the elusive redfish.

I purshased mine last month and because of the weather I have not been able to take it out for a fishing trip;

I had tried it only once @ the bay just to get familiar with it but was a little windy +20mph. I will try it again this weekend, I was thinking about getting a set of kayak's outriggers to help with stability. but I''ll wait to se how does it feels with average winds 10-15mph.

trolling motor ??? I will let you know
