The Pig

As some may recall, one of my small block 200's started making a loud tapping noise. After a month I finally got the dealer to look at it who said nothing was wrong until I suggested he pull the plugs and check the cylinders. Turns out one cylinder was scorched. After a short delay BRP approved a warranty claim, and although their dedicated Latin American/Caribbean warranty number was only an answerphone which never produced a ring back, a call to BRP's main number produced a proper level of service and confirmed that a new fully dressed powerhead is en route. Hopefully my local dealer should be able to install that, if I am lucky, before Christmas. Hopefully they will also change the answerphone to a human unless they are experiencing so few failures for that geographical zone that an answerphone suffices-I think not.
In short I cannot fault BRP's response, just the dealer.
