Goodday,
with ref a thread i started in the main forum.
Before i consider a 25 contender more seriously i was looking for ideas to put in some form of forward seating. Have you done this before?
Maybe on the lines like a folding rear bench but on the inside forward gunwhales? ideas, possible pics and price would be much appreciated.
thanks

The forward seating on a 25 Contender can be done. One issue is that it would not be able to be foldable and a ruff price estimate would be around $ 1500
thanks for your response, but they would be removable, correct? just making sure. and any chance of some example pics?

Yes we could make them removable. You can look on the gallery of http://www.birdsallmarine.com/ for some samples of seating on the Contenders page on the photo gallery.

I have a Contender 23T. I would love some sort of forward seating. Is there anything out there? Can Birdsall make something? Thanks, Joe

Hi Chuck,
I will be emailing you some photos of a 23 Open Contender that we would like a quote for some kind of forward seating / lounge area for a potential buyer. If you've done any of this kind of stuff since this was posted, some photos would be great.

I was wondering if anyone out there has seen coolers used instead of forward seating? I have a 25' Open and I wanted to use two large coolers in the bow which form a V on opposite sides of the forward locker. This will provide extra seating for kids and family but can be pulled from the boat when fishing.
Kennedy tie downs are and option but since I dont have access to the underside of the deck for thru bolts, I dont know how to secure the deck hardware. Tapping screws will never be strong enough.
Any comments about this (dont want bean bags) will be helpful.
Thanks

Something like this would work well:
