This is a bit long.
Left the marina and headed right to the naval pier to look for weakies at the beginning of the out going. Wasted 45Mt's and went to the rips to drift eels. 15 or so boats and the usual madness of speed racers. It was still daylight and we could see people pulling in fish left and right. On the first drift we got a keeper bass that I tried to boat by pulling in with my hands(bye) and a blue. Then we had nothing for a long while but could still see people getting them and knew it would start for us. I think a lot of guys were drifting clams as I saw some skates being boated.
We finally get a good hit and as Mike is reeling in I see a guy beach his boat. Not sure if he drifted to close or ran it in but they were stuck with the waves beating on them. I am the closest boat and they start yelling to me for help so I go to reel in my line but it got twisted with Mikes and his bass so I cut it out and help him land it quick, made sure it was a keeper and went over to be the hero. These guys were in the water but could not get the rope for a while and when they did get it we had a bad knot in the middle and our only good chance of getting them off the beach was lost. After another 30 minutes or so we finally gave up. I did not want to get beached myself and these guys were in shock or something. So back to fishing with red and blue lights to guide us,HEE and we get a few more bass. they guys from the boat are gone and the boat was just sitting on the beach with no lights or anything. Its around 930 and there is only 2 of us fishing now and the Angler too when another boat comes running north along the beach at a good speed, I say to mike" watch this guy hit the beach too" OOPS,bad karma because not 100' from the first boat he runs up in the sand. He is beached good but again I try to help but when pulling his boat I was getting pulling into the beach so we apologized and went back to the fishing. We ended the night with 10 bass 5 that came home,Used my bonus tag, with the biggest @ 34".

Hey Kieth, Got a 40 incher that night. Went out Friday night and limited out in two drifts with bass to 34"
That boat was still washed up on the beach getting pounded by waves.
