I noticed that too. May be it was a last ditch effort to stop the boat by throwing the anchor overboard. Looks like it was a little too late :trout:

I'm thinking that it was anchored so that if the tide comes up it doesn't float off.

Shoot id stay on my boat...I feel sorry for him but I agree with you it does look like he anchored so his boat didn’t drift off (too prevent further harm too his boat and other people’s property)

People beach there (by Fish Tails) to cast net for bait. Saw a pretty Shamrock way on there the other day.

Hell, I saw a boat hit the Kelly bridge yesterday on the out-going! Engine must have died and I guess he didn't have an anchor or no time to use it. Just drifted beam to and introduced his rub rail to the pillars! If he would have waved or shouted we would have went over to offer help. He just keep fussing with his engine - head down - 'til he was able to motor away. My son thought he was embarrassed and no one else went over... interesting.

That's not by Fish Tales, that's by the Thorofare. Actually he's on either Dog or Bitch Island. Which in this case seems pretty aptly named!
