Hey guys, we (wife and I) will be in Fort Myers in March from the 2nd. to the 13th.
and are looking for a place to stay. Would rather stay in a condo, apt., house, cottage, etc., than a motel. I've seen what's available on vrbo. but thought I'd throw out a feeler to those who might know of something outside of vrbo. Just
the 2 of us, so don't really need anything bigger than a 1 bedroom pad. Budget
is 1k / week. On, or view of water would be nice. Thanks.....Jerry

Not Fort Myers, Marco Island. My parents have a place here. In fact you can just make out the back of my boat in the first picture. It is almost right on Big Marco Pass. about a par five from the gulf, deep water docks with the best dock fishing around. Great place, clean and a good deal. Walking distance from at least 6 really good restaurants. I'll loan you a rod and bait bucket. The Baitkiller leaves at unschedualed intervals. Be aboard or be left behind.

Though I've a rental unit in Cape Coral it's a 3br home, pool on direct access canal but unfortunatley out of your budget. I might suggest you look at properties in Cape Coral as many are priced in the range you want and some are one or two bedroom properties.
I have mine listed with MHB Properties who might have listings like you desire. They can be viewed at www.capecoral4vacation.com. Best of luck.

I have a condo, not on the beach, but on a Golf Course in a community with marina, golf (par 3 and 4), and tennis. The marina is a short walk/drive, gated community, 2/2. Rental allows you to use all amenities while you are there. There is a one month minimum for rental (condo rules, not mine). Marina is a stone's throw to the Calosahatchee River and it's about a 20-30 minute boat ride to Sanibel Island / Ft. Myers beaches. If you're interested, PM me.

I have a couple of beach properties that we rent in St Pete/Clearwater area. If you can find someone to rent for just a week in March don't hesitate to reserve it quick. Most places around here will want a minimum 1 month rental during our season. My places are booked for for 3 and 5 months at a time during the winter season.
You should be able to find something but as mentioned grab it quick or you may be staying in the Mom & Pop type motel. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

I live at the start of the Sanibel Bridge and there are 2 hotels near here that are priced right, check the Quality Inn on Summerlin Rd FM 33908 and a brand new residents inn of Ft Myers and Sanibel, this area has it all.
