Thninking about trailering down to the Scituate area this week to fish the SWC. How is the boat ramp on Jericho Road in Scituate Harbor? Is there a safe place to park the truck/trailer for the day? Will the ramp work at any tide? Are there any better choices in this area? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Never used it, but from what I can remember it's in the downtown area. We go to Green Harbor or Plymouth
Good Luck

Thanks! I check these out too. It just seems like Scituate is closer to the corner.

The Jericho Road ramp has parking for maybe 30 or 40 trucks and trailers, so the lot fills up fairly fast. I'm pretty sure that the ramp is usable at all tides though the dock does not extend all the way up to the ramp.

The Green Harbor ramp's parking lot is much larger, the ramp has three lanes for launching and retrieving, each lane having a dock directly alongside and the ramp is usable at all tides. At 14 miles from the Green harbor entrance to the SWC it is the closest of the South Shore ramps.

The Plymouth ramp is similarly usable to the GH ramp except for not having an immediately adjacent dock (dock is a 30 foot leap from the ramp). Plymouth however has a long narrow channel out to open water and is a longer trip than GH to the SWC.

The Scituate ramp is one of the better ramps around. You won't have any issues with the tide unless your trying to launch on a minus tide. parking isn't an issue during the week. It's located right next to the Scituate Harbor Marina/Pier 44.
